The executive board meeting of the European project Mix matters on the valorisation of packaged fruit and vegetables took place on 19 December.
FEDACOVA leads work package 1 of this project, coordinating the waste from the partners Mercavalencia, University of Almeria – Greenhouses and three companies provided by FEDACOVA (Vicky foods, Natural de Montaña and Iberian Premium Fruits).
During the meeting, the actions carried out by the partners in each work package were discussed. FEDACOVA provided the results of the characterisation carried out in the companies, obtaining information on the type of waste, annual quantity, flow diagram, laboratory analysis, etc. and insisted on the importance of holding physical meetings and visits to the facilities between the members of the Working Group.
