On the occasion of the upcoming European elections, the CEV has organised a series of meetings with the candidates of the political parties since, as representatives of the business fabric of the Valencian Community, they consider it vitally important to dialogue with them.
FEDACOVA, as a member of the CEV, with its Innovation agent as representative, Juan José Rico, participated yesterday in the meeting held with Marian Cano, candidate on the PP list for the European Parliament, and Felipe Carrasco, regional secretary for Industry, Trade and Consumer Affairs.
During the meeting, FEDACOVA asked Cano for legal certainty, market unity, prior consensus on regulations applicable to companies, reasonable implementation times, access to genomic techniques and chemical recycling of plastic as a complement to mechanical recycling for packaging, legislating with scientific and not ideological criteria, streamlining and simplifying bureaucracy, security in exports to the United Kingdom and solving tariffs with the United States, among others.
The need for a specific budget to develop strategic projects that promote innovation and work on the digital transformation of SMEs was also discussed.
