The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has published in the Official State Gazette the call for applications for aid to promote open innovation among SMEs and startups (“Activa Startups” Programme), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Beneficiaries

PYME with tax domicile in the Valencia Region, whose activity refers to any sector (except companies operating in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, and the primary production of agricultural products), which are going to develop an open innovation project with the advice and support of a startup (that meets the criteria of art.10 of the regulatory bases).

Open innovation will be understood as an innovation strategy under which companies go beyond the internal limits of their organisation and where cooperation with external professionals plays a fundamental role.

 

Eligible actions

Advisory projects on innovation in digital transformation, development and incorporation of emerging technologies, transformation towards a low-carbon economy or incorporation of the circular economy in the business model of SMEs, with the aim of responding to challenges posed in companies seeking open innovation through solutions based on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, massive data and information processing technologies, high performance computing, blockchain, natural language processing, cybersecurity, augmented reality, virtual reality, collaborative robotics, among others.

Grants

Non-repayable grants to cover the costs arising from collaboration with a start-up, in the open innovation work for the resolution of the challenge. Amount of 100% of the eligible costs of the project up to a maximum amount of €40,000.

Applications

The application, together with the required documentation, can be downloaded and submitted electronically through the following link of the EOI Foundation, a collaborating entity of the Ministry, until 23 December 2023.
