  • On 25 April, the conference ‘The Role of the Agri-Food Chain in Global Sustainability’ will be held.
    It will feature a round table with companies from the sector and the participation of the Triptolemos Foundation.

    FEDACOVA will analyse the challenges and business opportunities that sustainability objectives present for the Valencian agri-food sector. It will do so at the conference ‘The Role of the Agri-Food Chain in Global Sustainability’ to be held on 25th April at the ADEIT Foundation.

    The meeting will include a round table with the participation of Marta Riesgo, Industrial Manager of Grupo Choví Alimentación; Rafa Muñoz, Director of Quality and Environment Aguas San Benedetto, and Pedro Reig, Director of ASUCOVA (Association of Supermarkets of the Valencian Community); as well as the Deputy Director General of Climate Change of the Directorate General of Quality and Environmental Education of the Regional Ministry of the Environment, Water, Infrastructures and Territory, Cristina Vicent.

    In this panel, which will take place in the second part of the event, the sustainability strategies carried out by the companies that make up the agri-food chain and the aspects that influence the adoption of these approaches will be presented.

    During the first part of the day, Yvonne Colomer, Executive Director of the Triptolemos Foundation, will present the keynote speech ‘The impact of the European Green Pact from a global sustainable food system approach’.

    As Rafael Juan, President of FEDACOVA, explains, the aim of this conference is to ‘highlight what the Valencian agri-food sector is doing in terms of sustainability’.
